I watch this movie with my girl on Friday night, after work. Oh yes, I’ve been working for three days *grin*. The movie was okay, not bad, but not good enough for a thinking mind like me. Nevertheless, the movie can be of purpose to sooth your mind from your daily pressure.
I guess its just not me to do a review with details about movie; I’m better off writing about life, psychology, thoughts. So I’m gonna simplify it for you based on my thoughts of its advantageous and disadvantageous criteria of watching this movie (or should I call it, great points and bad points?):
Great Points:
1) Awesome CG. For those who likes to watch movies with great CG (like me), then I’d say go for it. With a low budget (as said) to make this movie, I’d say its a great job being able to produce something like that.
2) Simple fantasy storyline. I guess its for the children to understand it easily. So if you don’t wanna crack your head after work, this is not a bad choice. But if you watch this movie at your leisure time (I mean, leisure as in “not in pressure”
, you’ll find that the storyline quite crappy.
3) Some humorous scenes. Its hilarious to see big colorful steels trying to play hide and seek between tiny homes. Opps sorry for the spoiler ![]()
Bad Points:
1) Lack of logical and original details. For those who are big fans of Transformers, I’m sure you’ll be dissapointed seing the Decepticon is colourless. It breaks my heart to see that the jets and planes have no color but silver! And also, for those who know about CG better, your eyes for details surely catch one or two silly mistakes of dent and broken pieces. Not to mention their unrealistic computer interface console. Sheesh. I guess thats the drawback of doing great movies with low budgets.
2) Too long. Its freaking 2 and a half hour! For a simple storyline, you don’t have to talk much. Better replaced it with fighting scene with more details, or at least cut it so that it won’t be too long!
3) Excessive marketing promotion versus quality. There’s just too much affiliation for the sponsors. Good for them, bad for the fanatics. The fanatics expect more details than just marketing promotion. But in a way, it makes them a real good deal of money (gee I went for the movie after about 2 weeks since its launched, but the cinema is still crowded like hell!)
I guess thats about the movies from my own thoughts, but check out these 2 links – one for the hater, and one for the lover. Ironic huh? Well, you gotta go watch for yourself and decides how is the movie actually.. ![]()
