It is said that 22,000 people was there! OMG.
The concert start with Pop Shuvit’s “FreakShow” and “Mara Bahaya”, so that’s quite good for a warm up jump session. Even though I thought that the distortion of their guitar was a bit off, I still enjoyed it – can jump and sing along.
Then comes “Meet Uncle Hussain” – with their songs “Kerjalah” and “Laguku Untukmu”, Bittersweet, and Gerhana Ska Cinta. Here’s where the fanatics gone wild. Pushing, cramping, bodysurfing, moshpitting. I don’t mind if you want to moshpit there in the middle of the crowd but please, you don’t have to push people around when you got such a big circle space in front of you!
It reminds me to the way Jakas dance.. gila makan space!
And this moshpitting really goes wild up to the extent they push people around even on slow song. Geez. This is where I really feel uncomfortable – I think its just inappropriate for a slow song to be moshpitting. Why don’t just wave your hands, or even better, with a lighter?
And I was thinking that the crowd really comes only for “Hujan”, and was spitting on other artists. The crowd was really uncool when they “boo” on Suki (One In a Million winner) and even worst – they taunt her with “Hey Hey Fuck You!” when she’s singing Avril’s Girlfriend. I don’t know why actually, but for me, even though you’re not her fans, why don’t just listen to it? *sigh*
It affects Suki in a way that her singing is off tune afterwards. The effects of the majority I guess. That’s the fanaticism in music. Me as the universal music listener just can’t accept that. It’s okay to have preferences, likes or dislikes, but at least you don’t have to put people down in public like that! It was not an underground concert only, peeps!
Anyway, other than that, all the performances were cool and the crowd were great. We got Jaclyn Victor’s great voices on “No One”, Che`Nelle hot dancing (she’s goddamn hot! whoo!), Faizal Tahir Rock and Roll, and Hujan (no need to say it, people were coming for them. Their performance was last, and that was when everybody’s become possessed. Me too! :P)
And guess what, Faizal Tahir was stripping at that concert! OMG. It started with his jacket (we’re still cool with that), his t-shirt (oookaayy….), his singlet (errr… he got “S” symbol on his chest?), and last, his belt (gasp!). Luckily the songs end there, or else.. *sweat*
We think the S symbol is not to say that he’s the Malaysia’s Superman, but more to Malaysia’s Stripper! LOL. Oh and only Wan was excited with that. Double LOL!!
P/s: I was more excited with Che`Nelle’s teasing dance and sing. Hee!
