It’s been a while since I write real blog entry, so this might sound a little bit… weird? Hopefully not
*deep breathe…*
So last weekend I went to Penang for my friend’s wedding. Congratulations to Syuk and Mar for their absolutely gorgeous and fantastic wedding ceremony (siap ada DJ okeh!
dengan lagu2 jiwang permintaan Kasab… tahniah! anda memang romantik!)
Our trip consists of two separate journey. The Spammers (Yong, Yoda, Iyayy, and Lan) started their journey a little bit late, while I join the #gurly group consists of Sue, Seren, and Munir. Eh? Munir?
(P/s: Welcome to the bimbo world of #gurly, Munir. LOL
)
My personal mission was to satisfy my gluttony with all kind of foods available only in Penang. Had it 90% fulfilled. Side quest: To eat nasi kandar – failed due to the lack of capacity in my stomach. Damn I used to be able to eat VERY heartily! *sigh*
Day #1:
The trip started on Saturday afternoon, and we arrive at the hotel on the late evening. After resting a while, we started on our first mission of gluttony: Fort Weld (or is it Padang Kota?)
Checklist of stuffs succesfully consume:
- Pasembor Penang
- Laksa Penang
- Sotong Dua Rasa (which is actually a dried squid and a rojak squid. Damn Scam!)
After that meal, we go to Batu Feringhi where Sue decided to go for a little shopping. Being men, me and Munir go to the nearest restaurant (Restoran Lebanon, or in Arabic – “Mat’amul Lubnan“
. No, seriously, there are Arabic calligraphies in that restaurant. Reminds me back to the high school time when I got a chance to learn Arabic
We go for a little smoke and shisha. While we were there, the second trip (the Spammers) just arrived and they went straight to Gurney. And we continue our chilling. We are so full at that time that we decided not to go for Nasi Kandar for supper after that. *sigh* (now I’m regretting it).
End of day #1. Gluttony mission: 70% success!
Some pitcah!

Laksa Penang, before being eaten. Seriously, the taste is different when its being eaten at Penang. Or is it just me? Delusion?

Pasembor Penang. Believe me, this was halfway of our eating. It started really, really.. in BIG quantity.
